To brighten up this Monday, I’m threw in a pop of color to my #ootd. It’s still pretty warm here in Tennessee, so I am squeezing in all of the cute fall dresses that I can before the cold temps hit.
As you can tell from many of my posts, I am always drawn to wearing more neutral colors – black, gray, tan, ivory, white, brown, etc. Usually, the only pop of color that you will see on me is from my accessories or, of course, my fave bright red lipstick from Mac.
DETAILS: Free People dress (on SALE!) | Steve Madden boots (Linked the black – this color is sold out but similar here. Also styled in this post!) | Janice Ann’s Fashions (local to Knoxville) earrings & bracelet — similar here & here | David Yurman bangle | D&G sunnies (sold out – similar here)
I love this kimono-like, lace-up dress. It’s the perfect fit to be comfortable, while keeping it flirty, fun & fashionable. Not to mention, it is on-trend with the large, flared sleeves!
I paired it with my (current) fave OTK boots. Although, I do have longer legs, so they are actually just right at my knees ha! Still in love with them though. The heel height is perfect for long days, and the color will literally go with anything. I have had a ton of you asking where I got these & unfortunately this color that I’m wearing is sold out. (They are still available in this same style in black, but I also linked a very similar style in this same camel color.) Side note: I actually love pairing this color of boot with an all black outfit (here we go again with the all neutral looks lol) but the ‘all-black’ can really make your boots stand out!
I kept the look simple, but with some retro vibes by finishing it off with some classic earrings & a chunky cuff from one of my favorite high-end boutiques in Knoxville (Janice Ann’s Fashions) and of course, some round sunnies – which are always fun!
I am truly trying to soak up all of the ‘fall’ looks that I can before it starts getting colder, so I definitely wanted to incorporate some bright, fall tones (besides my normal black, brown burgundy, & white) into a post.
However, I’d definitely be lying if I didn’t say that I am SO ready for lots of holiday reds & greens and tons of Christmas festivities. I have come to face reality & can confidently say that I am one of those people who is ready for Christmas to be here right after Halloween. I am SO thankful for the season of Thanksgiving and would never forget about it, don’t get me wrong, buuuut don’t be surprised if you start seeing lots of snaps & instastories of Teej & I beginning the Christmas decorating at our house. (I mean … we were literally singing AND dancing to Christmas carols this morning while getting ready. But hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do on an early Monday morning, right?!)
It has begun at the Baxter household, so get excited for lots of fun holiday posts coming soon to love ‘n’ labels! I have so many fun outfits and projects to share with you all.
But … until then, let’s transition into the next season with some POPs of fun colors. I’m alllll for the neutrals, but we can’t forget to change up our norm every once in awhile. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, beautiful, & I hope you have a wonderful week!
xo,
Peyton
