Casual Date Night Look

With Valentine’s day quickly approaching, I thought it was only appropriate to share this casual date night look with you all. Of course, a lot of fashionistas tend to get all fancy on V-Day (and trust me, there’s some LNL outfit inspo coming your way in that category), but some people may be laying low and just going for a casual dinner date or bringing the kiddos along on a family Valentine’s date. This look is completely appropriate for that, but it will still be attractive to your man!

Y’all know that I have been totally obsessing over these black ripped jeans lately because they are so cute but still super comfortable annnd the best part about them for me is that Teej loves when I wear them – especially when I pair them with heels. So .. even when I am feeling a more casual style for one of our date nights, I can still look (& feel) attractive to him without having to go all out because I can always throw on these jeans and a comfortable, chunky heel.

I think this goes for not only my husband, but for most guys in general, when I say that they like to see their ladies in something a little more fitted, so I threw on this fitted, layering top with my broken denim and then layered up with an oversized poncho that is easy to take on and off once you get to the restaurant (so that you can show off your figure for your man, of course 😉 ).

I’ve found from past experiences that a lot of the time when I put less effort into styling an outfit for a casual look, the better it turns out. Does anyone else feel that way? I feel like I’ll stand in my closet forever trying to find the perfect casual outfit and at other times when I just rush in and throw something on, the whole ensemble looks way better than if I would have had the extra time to stand in my closet debating on an outfit for 30 minutes, lol.

… And if your man is anything like mine, he’ll be super happy that you were able to find an outfit and be ready for the date on time, ha! Not saying any names, but somehow one of us is always running late – I’ll let you guess who!
