With summer and festival season quickly approaching, we’ll begin seeing a lot more of the most recent resort and hipster trends, like bandanas tied around the neck and head scarves used as a turban. Personally, I love both of these trends because they give off that free spirit, easy-going, just wanna have fun summer vibe!
Today, I want to show off how I turned one of my scarves into a turban-inspired look. I got this scarf back in the winter and thought that it would make a great summer staple (because leopard is a neutral, right?!), but for this relaxed look, I styled it a bit differently from the typical neck scarf. All that to say, you don’t have to have an actual turban to get the look for this trend.
If you have a lightweight scarf, then you have all that you need! All that I did to achieve this look, is rolled it up hotdog style (it can be a loose roll), and then placed the front of the roll half way down my forehead and tied the ends on the base of my neck (on top of my hair). I pulled the ends around to the front to show off the beautiful leopard patten, but it would also look beautiful to leave them hanging in the back as well!
Shop my look:
oversized cream knit sweater (4 more colors available here) | plain white v-neck tee (THE best!) | denim shorts | similar lightweight leopard scarf | ivory cutout booties | gold mrs necklace
There are so many cute ways to tie a head scarf, so if you would be interested in seeing a full blog post on the different styles, then please let me know! 🙂 I did a similar post back in the fall where I posted 10 different ways to tie a blanket scarf, and you all REALLY seemed to like that post! Just comment below or message me on Insta if you would like to see another post like that!
Speaking of new blog post ideas, I know that you all have been wanting a hair and makeup tutorial, so I’m working on those right now (yay!), but I would love to know what other topics you would be interested in! Feel free to comment below or message me on IG to let me know your ideas .. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
Before I sign off for today, I wanted to share one quick detail about this look! This cardi from Free People is absolutely to die for. I firmly believe that every girl needs a comfy knit that she can easily throw on & dress up or down. My friend, Steph, just ordered this exact sweater and was asking what size I ordered, so I figured I would share the same details with you all. The sweater comes in XS/S and M/L, so I could see how that could get confusing when trying to figure out what size to order. Mine is a M/L, and as you can see, it’s a bit oversized. I like almost everything (especially knits) oversized, so I went up to the M/L, however, it is pretty big. I think I could have easily gone with the XS/S and it still would have been a bit oversized like I wanted, but I really like the sweater either way. I hope this reference helps you figure out what size will work best for you. Oh! I also found it on sale HERE, so grab it fast!!
Hope you beauties have a great Tuesday – thanks so much for stopping by today!
