2017 is just 3 days away & nothing quite says New Years Eve like metallic sparkle. This is always one of my favorite nights of the year because you have a great excuse to go out and get all glammed up in your favorite sequins. Plus, it’s a very refreshing time of year (well, as long as you don’t drink too much bubbly that night, lol) as you get a brand new start and get to plan out where you want the new year to take you.
Since the ball will be dropping in just a couple days, I wanted to share one of my favorite ways to incorporate some edgy sparkle into your NYE look.
This watch is BOMB you guys! If you haven’t heard all about my newest additions to my wrist stack, I’m sharing about it in THIS POST. To get 15% off your next purchase at DanielWellington.com, use my code BAXTER15.
joggers (mine are black) | Free People v-neck bodysuit (40%OFF) | gold sequin jacket (also love this one!) | pumps (similar dupes) | similar clutch | similar necklace (& HERE & HERE) | gold bangles | Daniel Wellington watch | Daniel Wellington cuff | David Yurman cuff | Tory Burch cuff (mine is currently sold out – linked similar) | earrings | kate spade mrs necklace | lips | nails (THIS would be gorg for NYE)
Pro tip for New Year’s Eve: it’s totally acceptable to go all out for your choice of sparkle. Sequins can be so girly, which I love! But, I also like when I get to mix and match styles in my outfits. Take this gold sequin jacket for example … It’s very feminine and edgy at the same time. To add a little more edge to this #ootn, I paired it with these black joggers. Most of the time on NYE, we are with the hot man in our lives, so of course us ladies want to be sure to keep it romantic & attractive for them as well. My husband loves when I wear heels & anything low-cut (typical guy 😉 ), so I added these pumps that have a touch of metallic to tie in the jacket & this low-cut, fitted bodysuit from Free People (also styled it HERE).
To get even more glammed up, I threw my hair in a low, messy pony (very practical when you are wearing anything sequined or beaded) which added more edge to the whole look. I also wore my go-to lips – Mac’s matte lipstick in shade Ruby Woo – for a bold pop of color with this neutral outfit. The exact necklace that I have on came from a local store here in Knox, but I linked a few similar ones above that will give you the same vibes that mine did for this look.
Y’all, I’ve been so sick the past couple days so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I feel better by this weekend so I can go out and have some fun while ringing in the New Year. As of now, I think our plans are to get dressed up and go to a nice dinner somewhere with some friends and then head downtown to watch the ball drop. Do you guys have any fun plans? Any Knoxville peeps have fun ideas this weekend? Let me know!
Thanks so much for stopping by, lovelies!
