Happy New Year, gorgeous girls! I hope you all had a fun and safe NYE last night! Teej and I went to dinner with a few friends and then headed out downtown to watch the ball drop. It was rainy and cold here, so it may have been a better idea to just stay in for the night, lol. But, nonetheless, we made the best of it and had some fun! Today, we’ve just been relaxing and taking it easy. After church this morning, my mom whipped up this huge spread for brunch and it was ahhh-mazing! *Still waiting for my hereditary cooking skills to kick in.*
I usually don’t post on Sundays since I try to post M-F throughout the work week (but then again, I don’t think the blogging work week ever truly ends ha!). However, I wanted to share a few of my top sale picks from the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale that ends tomorrow. A few of my favorite, go-to pieces that I wear A LOT are on major sale right now, and I didn’t want to let the deals pass you up.
I’ve gotten a lot of questions about these Tory Burch OTK boots, and unfortunately they’re not on sale in black at Nordstrom right now, but you can get them on sale in chocolate – which is SUCH a hard color to shop for in my opinion. I like these because they are flat, so you can basically wear them all day long & still look super cute.
My Baublebar Lariat Choker is on sale in gray. I wear mine all the time because you can style it so many different ways. (Also linking this black one – the one I’m wearing in this photo – but it’s not on sale right now.) Speaking of Baublebar, I also just got this rhinestone choker for Christmas & it’s included in the sale!
Out of all the new boots I’ve shopped this year, I think I can definitely say that I’ve gotten the most wear out of these babies! They’re just the perfect boot to match a lot of things that are already in your closet, plus the heel height is spot-on. I’ve worn these during my longest days and even to a UT football game, & they never once started hurting. That’s a win in my book. 😉

These basic long-sleeve tees are the best things ever. I have a couple in white and in black. I’m thinking about ordering some in different colors too because you just can’t beat finding really good basics at only $11!
These cute, lace up heels are so comfortable!! I have the camel color pair, but I also love the red! I think they would be SO cute to pop for Christmas next year. (Also available in black.)
I’m a sucker for Bedstu boots! I’m wearing the tan color of these in the photos above, but I also have a different style of Bedstu’s in this Black Lux color. They are even more gorgeous in person!
Were you even a part of 2016 if you didn’t have a basic black choker? Lol, but really. No worries ladies, they’re not going anywhere anytime soon, so it’s safe to stock up on some backups. I wear this one a ton & I just got a second one just like it for Christmas since I hate when the black starts fading and looking worn. I also got a thicker one like this for when I am aiming for a more dramatic look .. Thanks Santa!
Red lips are my faaaave! I get questions from you guys all the time about my red lipstick and what kind it is, so I found one on sale that is SO super similar to the one I wear & it comes with a lipliner / gloss too … ya can’t beat that! My go-to is Mac’s Matte Lipstick in the shade Ruby Woo, but I’ve also tried Candy Cane and it’s so close to Ruby Woo that you can’t even tell. Essentially, Candy Cane is just the special holiday edition of Ruby Woo in my opinion. That’s how similar the shades were on me.
