If you follow me on Snap (@peyton.baxter) or on Insta, then you know I went to the ATL last week for a quick work trip. And best part of all, my sweet Mama got to tag along with me! It was so nice to get to spend some time with her because we are both so busy and life can sometimes get in the way of the time I really want to be spending with her.
We went down there on Thursday for a bit of shopping at Lenox (because what’s a trip to Atlanta without going there) and then we went to the Mart on Friday, which lasted all day long. What a day! My mom and I actually love going to Market to shop wholesale because that’s right up our alley. It is an exhausting day and your feet will kill you by the end of the day, but it’s so exciting because you just constantly shop and pair outfits. (Like I said – literally right up my alley!) We attended because I’m one of the buyers and stylists for a local boutique in my town, so the owner wanted me to go help buy things for the store. I can’t share too many details yet, but I am SO excited to share with you all about some of the brands coming and a few other exciting things in store — stay tuned for that & I’ll let y’all in on all the good stuff! 🙂
We ended our trip with a quick bite to eat at The Varsity (Can y’all believe that I had never been?). I’ve gone back and forth to Atlanta my whole life and had never tried it before this trip. It definitely lives up to the hype – so good.
Since there was a lot of shopping happening during our trip, I wanted to share one of the outfits I wore while we were there. It’s just a simple black on black look, but it was stylish and still comfortable (which is a must for me when I’m going shopping). Comfy shoes – check. Chic, high-end style – check. Long sleeves – check (so that I didn’t have to carry a coat around). And of course a bold lip – check (bc that just makes every experience in life that much better).
After we got home from Atlanta late Friday night, I turned right around to working on some blog content and then left town again to help with The Pink Bride Wedding Show! Needless to say, I’m a little lot worn out from the past 4 days, but cheers to another cup of coffee and a lot more Jesus to help get us through this Monday! Hope you all have an amazing week!!
