Happy first day of December, beautiful!!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
… and I couldn’t be MORE excited. I am a total Christmas fanatic, y’all. Ever since I started my blog this year, I’ve been looking forward to styling some fun and festive holiday looks to hopefully inspire you. Everyone’s calendars get so full and busy during the holiday season between Christmas events, parties, shopping, traveling, and decorating. So, I’ve decided to share at least one festive #ootd per week leading up to Christmas in order to help you find some inspiration for the looks that you will wear to all the events listed in your planner this month.
For my first holiday look, I’ve partnered with Sisters Vintage Rentals (SVR) to share the first of two posts featuring their vintage antiques. This outfit is one of my absolute favorites – it gives me my very own Carrie Bradshaw moment! 🙂 Every woman deserves one.
Sisters Vintage Rentals is a company that rents out beautiful antiques for weddings and events. Ran by four vintage-loving sisters (who are some of the kindest people I have ever met!), SVR has anything and EVERYTHING that you could ever possibly want for a vintage-themed event, wedding, or a staged photo shoot. Their rentals include antique china, drink dispensers, trays, tables, pews, sofas, chairs, windows, doors, signs, lighting, mantles, props, accessories & so much more. I am SO in love with all of their pieces. I could literally sit and look through them all for days & never get tired of it. I think that their beautiful antiques not only make for a great backdrop for photo sessions, but they also really tie together any event and will be so pleasing to the eyes of your guests. If you are a new bride or you are throwing a Christmas party this season, I highly encourage you to check out the Sisters Vintage Rentals Instagram & Facebook before your event. You will see many of their most popular antiques and how they are staged. I used their Instagram as inspiration for this shoot!
I looove this festive vignette that the 4 sisters of SVR staged! Being a southern belle, my heart skips a beat when I see any type of picket fence, but this one with the Christmas trees, the antique bike & red bows accenting it? I mean … insert millions of the heart-eye emojis here!
The sisters also staged this beautiful vintage vanity, complete with a feminine blue, velvet chair and the essential accessories that all women need to get ready. Even the perfume bottle! The sisters literally have rentals for the smallest of details.
(AHHH! You guys. My heart is pounding all over again just talking about these gorgeous pieces.)
And for the final vignette tonight (there’s even more beautiful pieces coming up in later post!): the sofa of all sofas. This velvet beauty is definitely one of my favorites at Sisters Vintage Rentals. The color pops and brightens up all pictures and events, and it is such a feminine, classic piece. What is there not to love??

Between my tulle midi skirt and all of these gorgeous, vintage antiques, I felt like I had completely stepped back in time – and I loved every second of it! There’s nothing that says ‘holiday attire’ quite like a big tulle skirt & some sparkle accents.
When I think about fashion at Christmastime, I always think of dressier styles. This look would also be so beautiful to wear for a fancy Christmas show or play in your downtown area. I am a sucker for getting all dressed up during the holidays and finding an excuse to go downtown. There’s something about it that just takes my Christmas spirit to an all-time high!
The great thing about this particular skirt is that it comes in multiple styles AND lengths, which is great because no matter how short or tall you are, you can find one to fit you perfectly (I’m 5’7″ and wearing the 30-inch). I paired mine with a tight-fitting turtleneck, black pumps (w/ an accent of gold), and a necklace with some subtle sparkle. For an outfit like this, you don’t want to go over the top with accessories or layers because the tulle skirt itself is such a statement piece. You don’t want to take away from that. We’ve all heard the saying “Wear the dress, don’t let it wear you” … well, that quote is good to keep in mind when styling this outfit. To keep it dressy and classy, it’s best to just keep it simple and let the skirt stand out.
I have so many other ideas when it comes to styling tulle skirts, so stay tuned for that in upcoming posts. Since this look is a bit on the dressy side, I’ve been brainstorming some edgy vibes to pair it with. Let me know if y’all would like to see a certain style done with this skirt, and I will work on it for you!
